48 Days to Christmas!

Not sure if this latest one is one that would have made it across the shores to America, but over here it's guaranteed that you'll hear this on the radio, and in shops over the festive period.

One of Wales' greatest singers, other than Tom Jones, was Shakin Stevens, and was due to be released in 1984, but was postponed until 1985, the reason being the release of Band Aid's "Do They Know it's Christmas" song which smashed the chart to pieces of course.

So, 1985 was Shaky's year, and it made the Christmas Number 1 spot too, proving that the right decision was made a year earlier to postpone, and it is surely one of the most infectious Christmas Tunes ever made!

It actually made the charts again in Christmas 2007, as downloads were included in the UK charts, and it made number 22 over Christmas week.

Sadly, the YouTube copy of the video is unavailable to post on here, but here he is on Christmas Top of the Pops...

Enjoy!!

Sadly, I'm unable to throw any tune on here tomorrow, but I'll do days 47 & 46 on Sunday afternoon!
